I have previously showcased my email marketing experience in this portfolio. In this section, I am adding the projects I completed as part of the Grow With Google Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Certificate.
Write subject lines and preview text
Effective email subject lines and preview text are essential marketing emails. The subject line grabs the recipient’s attention, while the preview text tells them what to expect when they open the email. Both are short, but they can determine whether people open your message or delete it.
As part of this project, I was required to create three sets of subject lines and preview texts for three emails:
Email 1: Vet Clinic (Informative Email)
Subject Line: 5 Tips for Preventing Dental Disease in Your Pet.
Preview Text: Also: A checklist to avoid these dental problems in your pet.
Email 2: Therapeutic Massage (Promotional Email)
Subject Line: Get some “you” time, {name}!
Preview Text: 20% discount on exclusive massages in June!
Email 3: Car Repair (Retention Email)
Subject Line: It’s time to schedule your car service.
Preview Text: Make an appointment today, {name}.
List Segmentation
Email list segmentation is a technique that divides subscribers into smaller groups with similar interests or characteristics. This allows you to customize the content of the emails for each group, which increases the relevance and performance of your marketing campaigns.
This is just one way to segment your audience. Audience segmentation is possible in any way that makes sense for your business and your goals.
Analysis and presentation
It is important to continuously analyze the performance of the email campaign to identify areas for improvement and make changes as needed.
At the end of the campaign, the results should be presented to stakeholders, along with conclusions and recommendations. Here is an example of such presentations:
I have worked with email marketing for over 10 years and it has always been a favorite of mine. Email marketing is a cost-effective and scalable way to reach a large audience with relevant and personalized messages. It can be used to generate leads, drive sales, and build relationships with customers. When done correctly, email marketing can be a powerful tool for businesses of all sizes.
